The Yamaha V MAX SHO 90 (model VF90) is the smallest in the "Super High Output" lineup but offers class-leading performance for lightweight fishing boats. This in-line four-cylinder motor is designed to deliver a powerful hole shot and high top-end speed, bringing two-stroke performance to a fuel-efficient and reliable four-stroke platform. The engine's black cowling gives it the sleek V MAX SHO look. 

• High-output 1.8L engine: The VF90 utilizes a 1.8L, 16-valve, SOHC engine designed to optimize combustion and minimize weight, which results in class-leading torque and top speed.
• Performance-focused gear ratio: It uses a reconfigured gear ratio (2.33:1) that is different from the standard F90. This gives the VF90 a quicker hole shot and better top-end speed.
• Multi-point fuel injection: This system delivers the precise volume and timing of fuel for quick starts, fuel efficiency, and low emissions.
• Shift Dampener System (SDS): When used with compatible propellers, the SDS reduces the clunking noise associated with shifting gears, providing a smoother and quieter ride.
• Variable Trolling RPM: This feature allows for precise trolling speed adjustments in 50 RPM increments, which is ideal for anglers.
• 35-amp alternator: The powerful alternator provides sufficient charging power for batteries and a wide array of on-board electronics, even at low revs.
