The Yamaha In-Line Four 2.8L 150 hp (F150) is one of the most popular and highly regarded four-stroke outboard motors in its class. Key features

• Engine: The F150 uses a 2.7L (for mechanical models) or 2.8L (for digital models), 16-valve, Double Overhead Camshaft (DOHC) in-line four-cylinder powerhead with Electronic Fuel Injection (EFI).
• Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT): The 150 hp V MAX SHO version (VF150) features VCT, which optimizes valve timing for a more aggressive hole shot and acceleration. The standard F150 does not feature VCT.
• Lightweight design: Weighing as little as 478 lbs for a 20-inch shaft model, the F150 offers an excellent power-to-weight ratio for mid-sized boats.
• Quiet operation: The in-line four-cylinder design and a flywheel dampener reduce vibration and noise, resulting in a smooth, quiet ride.
• Integrated steering: Newer F150 models are available with integrated hydraulic or electro-hydraulic steering, which results in a clean transom and more space in the bilge.
