The Yamaha 4.2L V6 Offshore 300 hp is a powerful and reliable four-stroke outboard known for its fuel efficiency and advanced features. The newest models incorporate technological upgrades like integrated digital electric steering and Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust for improved control. 

• 4.2-Liter Big Bore Displacement: Yamaha's plasma-fused sleeveless cylinder walls create a harder, lighter surface than steel, increasing displacement for greater power and torque while reducing overall weight.
• Variable Camshaft Timing (VCT): This system adjusts the intake camshaft to enhance throttle response and power in the low and mid-range RPMs for excellent acceleration.
• Digital Electric Steering (DES): Integrated into digital models, DES provides smoother, faster, and more precise steering control. It also eliminates the need for hydraulic pumps, hoses, and lines, resulting in a cleaner and less cluttered rigging area.
• Thrust Enhancing Reverse Exhaust (TERE): At low RPMs (below 2500) and in reverse, this feature keeps exhaust bubbles away from the propeller. This allows the prop to bite into clean water, providing significantly greater reverse thrust and control.
• TotalTilt™: This function allows the engine to fully tilt up or down by double-tapping the trim/tilt button, making operation easier and quicker.
• Helm Master® EX Compatibility: When paired with Yamaha's Helm Master EX control system, the outboard can offer advanced control features, including joystick navigation, trolling control, and autopilot.
